  2. This cancer spreads to liver, lungs and bones in the body and difficult to manage in such situations and death rates are high in such unfortunate individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The cost of breast cancer treatment is very high.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What are the signs and symptoms of breast cancer in women?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Painful or painless lump in one of the breast that gradually increases in size.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Nipple is abnormal in shape \u2013 at times retracted.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Nipple discharge \u2013 sometimes blood stained serous or watery discharge<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Tiny nodes in the armpit or above collar bone.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Tests done to detect a disease before any symptoms develop are called Screening Tests<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

            2. Mammogram \u2013 it is the x-ray of the breasts<\/span><\/li>\n
            3. USG of breasts for \u00a0\u2013 A cystic lump or those sometimes not picked up by mammogram <\/span><\/li>\n
            4. MRI with contrast study<\/span><\/li>\n
            5. Guided FNAC for suspected lump seen in the imaging studies<\/span><\/li>\n
